NE4-NH3-5000 Electrochemical Gas Sensor
1. Detection Principle:
It belongs to an electrochemical gas sensor, composed of a sensing electrode, counter electrode, and reference electrode. Ammonia gas diffuses into the working electrode through the sensor's diaphragm, where it decomposes and is partially oxidized. Nitrogen is generated at the working electrode, and the resulting protons enter the counter electrode, reacting with dissolved oxygen in the electrolyte to form water. The concentration of ammonia gas is proportional to the current generated by the continuous reaction.
