The SS340RT/SS440R sensor integrated circuit is a small-sized multi-functional digital Hall effect sensor that operates based on the magnetic field provided by a permanent magnet or an electromagnet. They can respond to a single pole: the north pole (SS340RT) or the south pole (SS440R).

These monopolar Hall integrated circuits offer three different magnetic sensitivities for selection, which can meet various applications:

The SS341RT and SS441R provide the highest sensitivity, with a typical operating point of 75 G at a temperature of 25°C [77°F].

SS343RT and SS443R offer medium sensitivity, with the typical operating point at 25°C [77°F] being 135 G.

SS349RT and SS449R offer the lowest sensitivity, with a typical operating point of 305 G at a temperature of 25°C [77°F].

These sensors have two types of packaging:

SS340RT: Miniature SOT-23 surface mount package.

SS440R: Flat pin TO-92 package size.

The small size of SS340RT requires less PCB space and can be used in smaller assemblies. Its 3 Vdc capability can be used in low-voltage applications, thus achieving energy-saving goals.

The SS340RT series is available in reel and spool packaging (3000 per reel); the SS440R series is in bulk (1000 per bag).
