1. Product Overview:

The ZE29A-C2H5OH is a high-selectivity ethanol (C₂H₅OH) gas sensor based on semiconductor (metal oxide) sensing technology. It is designed for detecting ethanol vapor in indoor/outdoor air, with applications in breath alcohol testers, food processing quality control, fuel leak detection, and indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring. The sensor features low power consumption, fast response, and stable output, supporting both analog and digital signal integration for flexible system design.

 

2. Application Notes:

  1. Preheating Requirement: The sensor must be preheated for 3~5 minutes after power-on to ensure accurate readings. Do not take measurements during preheating.
  2. Cross-Sensitivity Avoidance: Avoid exposure to high concentrations of isopropanol, methanol, or these may cause false positive readings. For critical applications, add a gas filter (e.g., activated carbon) to enhance selectivity.
  3. Mounting Guidelines: Mount the sensor in a location with good airflow (away from dead corners). Do not mount near heat sources (e.g., resistors, LEDs) or moisture-prone areas (e.g., sinks, vents).
  4. Heater Stability: Use a regulated power supply for the heater (voltage ripple ≤ 50 mV). Unstable heater voltage leads to severe output drift.
  5. Warranty: The sensor comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. Warranty is void if damaged by condensation, corrosive gases, or improper voltage.
