Product Description:

YJJ CO-AM Carbon Monoxide Sensor Used for Monitoring in Industrial Gas Environments

Features:

CO-AM is an electrochemical carbon monoxide (CO) gas sensor launched by the British company Alphasense. It adopts mature fuel cell technology and patented electrode design, featuring high stability and high sensitivity. It is widely used in industrial safety monitoring and portable gas detection equipment, etc. The following is the detailed parameter description of it:

I. Core Performance Parameters

(1) Measurement-related Parameters

Measurement range: 0~5000 ppm (carbon monoxide concentration).

Overload capacity: It can withstand a maximum gas pulse of 10000 ppm, with stable response without damage.

Sensitivity: In a 400 ppm CO environment, the sensitivity is 55~90 nA/ppm, and the output signal has a good linear relationship with the concentration.

Resolution: ≤0.5 ppm (calculated based on root mean square noise), capable of accurately identifying low-concentration gas changes.

Response time (T90): From zero point to 400 ppm CO concentration, the response time is less than 25 seconds, providing rapid feedback on the detection result.

Linear error: Full-scale linear error is ±15~+25 ppm (tested at zero point and 1000 ppm CO concentration), with excellent linearity performance.

Zero-point current: In a zero air environment, the zero-point current is equivalent to the concentration of -4~+2 ppm, with small zero-point drift and stable baseline.

(2) Lifespan-related Parameters

Effective lifespan under normal working conditions: >24 months (official warranty 24 months), stable operation until the signal decays to 80% of the initial value.

Zero-point drift: In laboratory air environment, annual zero-point drift is <0.2 ppm equivalent concentration, with strong long-term stability.

Sensitivity drift: In laboratory air environment, monthly test annual sensitivity drift is <8%, with slow performance degradation.

Storage period: In a sealed environment of 3~20℃, the storage period is 6 months. Over this period, re-calibration of performance is required.

II. Environmental Adaptability Parameters

Operating temperature: -30~50℃, suitable for different industrial scenarios and outdoor environments.

Operating humidity: 15~90% RH (continuous operation), avoiding the influence of condensation on performance.

Operating pressure: 80~120 kPa, suitable for normal atmospheric pressure environments, no need for additional pressure compensation.

Impact of temperature on performance:

-20℃: Sensitivity is 63~88% of that at 20℃ (400 ppm CO environment), zero-point offset <±3 ppm equivalent concentration;

50℃: Sensitivity is 102~115% of that at 20℃ (400 ppm CO environment), zero-point offset <±8 ppm equivalent concentration.

III. Electrical and Physical Parameters

Load resistance: Recommended value 10~47 Ω, matching the circuit design is necessary to ensure stable signal output.

Size specification: Cylindrical structure, diameter Φ20.2 mm × length 16.5 mm, conforming to the industrial standard size of portable gas detectors, facilitating integration and installation.

Weight: <6 g, lightweight design, without increasing the overall burden of the equipment.

Structural features: Filter membrane design, with anti-interference capability, suitable for complex gas environments.

IV. Cross-sensitivity (Anti-interference Performance)

The sensor has strong anti-interference ability against common interfering gases. The specific performance is as follows (test conditions: 20℃ standard environment):

Interfering gas Testing concentration Cross-sensitivity (relative to CO signal)

H₂S (sulfur dioxide) 20 ppm <0.1%

NO₂ (nitrogen dioxide) 10 ppm <0.1%

Cl₂ (chlorine) 10 ppm <0.1%

NO (nitric oxide) 50 ppm <5% SO₂ (Sulfur Dioxide) 20 ppm < 0.1%

H₂ (Hydrogen) 400 ppm < 60%

C₂H₄ (Ethylene) 400 ppm < 25%

NH₃ (Ammonia) 20 ppm < 0.1%

Meanwhile, the sensor has a certain filtering capacity for some interfering gases: H₂S 250,000 ppm·hours, NO₂ 600,000 ppm·hours, NO 20,000 ppm·hours, SO₂ 300,000 ppm·hours. It can extend the stable working time in complex gas environments.

V. Core Features and Application Scenarios
