Features:

PMS9103M is a digital general-purpose particulate matter sensor based on the principle of laser scattering. It can continuously collect and calculate the number of suspended particulate matter of different diameters in the air per unit volume, and convert it into mass concentration, which is then output through a digital interface.

Technical Specifications

‌Particulate Matter Measurement Range‌: Supports three particle size channels: 0.3 - 1.0 μm, 1.0 - 2.5 μm, and 2.5 - 10 μm.

Particle count efficiency: 50% at a particle size of 0.3 μm, and ≥ 98% at a particle size of ≥ 0.5 μm.

Effective measurement range of particulate matter mass concentration: 0 - 500 micrograms per cubic meter (PM2.5 standard value).

Maximum range of particulate matter mass concentration: ≥ 1000 micrograms per cubic meter (PM2.5 standard value). Values exceeding 1000 μg/m³ should be based on actual measurements.

Interface Definition

The PMS9103M uses an 8-pin interface. The pin definitions are as follows:

 

PIN1 (VCC): Positive power supply (+5V)

PIN2 (GND): Negative power supply

PIN3 (SET): Setting pin, TTL level @ 3.3V, high level or open circuit is normal operation state, low level is sleep state

PIN4 (RXD): Serial port receiving pin, TTL level @ 3.3V

PIN5 (TXD): Serial port transmitting pin, TTL level @ 3.3V

PIN6 (RESET): Module reset signal, TTL level @ 3.3V, low level resets

PIN7, PIN8: NC (No Connection) Notes for Attention

The sensor requires 5V power supply, but the communication and control pins need 3.3V level. If a 5V-powered MCU is connected, a level conversion circuit needs to be added.

The SET and RESET pins have internal pull-up resistors and can be left floating when not in use.

When using the sleep function, the fan needs at least 30 seconds of stable time to restart. It is recommended that the working time after waking up from sleep be no less than 30 seconds to ensure data accuracy.
