I. Basic Overview
RAK19007 is the second-generation RAK WisBlock universal evaluation board / base development board, replacing the old RAK5005-O. It is the carrier of the entire LoRaWAN modular IoT solution, used to host the WisBlock core controller, various sensors, GNSS positioning, IO expansion modules, providing power supply, charging, serial port, and bus expansion capabilities. II. Core Hardware Parameters
1. Physical Size and Structure
Size: 60mm × 30mm, ultra-thin compact PCB
Installation: 4 M2.5 screw fixing holes, can be directly installed into the enclosure
Slot Layout:
CORE Slot (40Pin): 1 path, install WisBlock core module (such as RAK4631, RAK11200, RAK3172 etc. LoRa core)
Sensor Slots A/B/C: 3 paths, support standard 10mm small sensor modules (temperature humidity, gas, photoelectric, acceleration, etc.)
Slot D (large size slot): 1 path, compatible with 23mm large module (GNSS positioning RAK12500, 4G/NB-IoT cellular module)
Second-generation optimization: GNSS module inserted into slot D does not occupy other sensor positions, solving the problem of space conflict in the first generation. RAKwireles...
Installation Method: The module can be mounted on the top and bottom of the base plate in either orientation
2. Power Supply System (Core Advantage)
Multiple power supply inputs
USB-C 5V: Program download, serial port debugging, lithium battery charging
BAT pad: 3.7V single lithium polymer battery power supply
Solar pad: 5V solar panel input, outdoor off-grid self-charging
Built-in lithium battery charging management chip, automatically stops charging when full
Two 3.3V power outputs:
VDD: constant power supply, continuously supplies power to Core main control
3V3_S: can be software disabled (controlled by IO2 pin), supplies power to 4 sensor slots independently, cuts off peripherals to significantly reduce power consumption during sleep
Maximum output of 750mA for 3.3V voltage regulation, meeting the requirements for simultaneous operation of multiple sensors
Extremely low sleep static power consumption, suitable for long-term monitoring nodes with batteries in the wild
3. Interface Resources
USB Type-C: firmware burning, serial port log, charging all in one
External expansion pin (2.54mm): leads the BOOT download button, multiple GPIO, hardware I2C, hardware UART, can be externally connected with external devices (LTH-1550-01 photoelectric switch, relay, display)
Board-mounted buttons: reset button, BOOT boot button
Bus: unified I2C/SPI/UART bus inside the base plate, all slots automatically communicate with each other, no need for manual wiring

1. Rapid LoRaWAN Internet of Things Prototype Evaluation (Main Purpose)
Combined with WisBlock Core (RAK4631/RAK3172) to quickly build low-power wide-area monitoring nodes, no need to design power supply, charging, sensor adapter board, plug-and-play:
Environmental monitoring: temperature humidity, air pressure, CO2, gas sensor combination
